We’re delighted to welcome Geovanny Martin Aguilar López to the Progreso team in Nicaragua! Geovanny joins us to support our partner organizations and help ensure our projects have meaningful, lasting impact.
He’s an economist with extensive experience in both the nonprofit and private sectors, primarily in Nicaragua. Geovanny has worked closely with cooperatives and rural organizations, especially in the coffee sector, supporting them in finance, administration, and organizational development. His hands-on experience gives him a deep understanding of what it takes to strengthen local organizations.
“I was motivated to join Progreso because I share the organization’s focus on sustainable development, inclusion, and empowering local communities,” Geovanny says. “I hope to bring my experience on the ground to support better decision-making and contribute to projects that create long-term impact.”
Geovanny enjoys collaborating closely with people and organizations, learning from their realities, and developing practical solutions together. Outside of work, he loves coffee (;), staying active, and spending time with his adopted little dog.
