Please meet our newest Progreso team member: Ida van der Burgh. Ida started in May as our Back Office Manager and will be in charge of all backend support that is needed for Progreso as a Foundation to do all the work we do on a daily basis across the continents. Basically, this means she’ll try her very best to make the daily operations run as smoothly as possible at our office in Amsterdam or at her home office with a cat in her lap.
Ida lives right in the middle of The Netherlands, in Utrecht, with her partner and two kids. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work and volunteered for a year to be on the board of the Dutch United Nations Student Association (DUNSA).
Before joining Progreso, she was responsible as a casemanager for MentaVitalis, in which she focused on the mental health of workers across the Netherlands. It is already here that she found an interest in being able to support a meaningful cause in her daily work.
What specifically attracts her with regards to the work with Progreso is to be able to support our team from behind the scenes in the best way possible, and in this way contribute to a more sustainable world.
Fun fact: Ida actually doesn´t drink coffee 😉
