Program Description
Progreso Program started in 2001, when coffee prices drastically collapsed affecting the socio-economic conditions of millions of small producers in Latin America, Africa and Asia.
To improve the living conditions of the small organized producers, the Progreso Program promotes the integration of their products in the international market.
To achieve our goals, there's an integral collaboration with the organizations through the five components of the program:
- Certification
- Access to Finance
- Access to Market
- Institutional Development
- Diversification
With this approach, the Progreso Program supports the organizations throughout the production and trade processes in order to strengthen their productive, organizational and commercial skills.
At present, Progreso collaborates with more than 25 coffee and cocoa organizations in Latin America, Africa and Asia.
