FAPECAFES is a Second degree Association with 1540 members from 5 different associations (PROCAP, Procafeq, Apecafe, Apecam and Apeosae) situated in the provinces of Loja, El Oro and Zamora. FAPECAFES began operations in 2002

Participates in Progreso Program since: 2005                           

Progreso Program has worked with the cooperative in the areas of Access to Finance, Access to Markets (business trips), Institutional Development, project aimed to improve the communication with coffee producers via radio and publications which tell them about the benefits of quality coffee and how to access technical assistance for its production. The Diversification project has been directed towards the production of banana chips.

PROCAFEQ, is an association that founded FAPECAFES and last October won the "TASA 2008 DORADA. Out of 35 organizations and 5 grain exporting participants, the coffee of PROCAFEQ was the winner "... essence of nuts, chocolate, honey, orange, body and a lasting taste with character," said one of the tasters.

Held in Manta, Ecuador, the contest is organized annually by the Association of Coffee Exporters (Anecafé), the National Coffee Council (Cofenac) and the Corporation that Promotes Exportation and Investments (CORPEI). It is meant to analyze and qualify the best Ecuadorian coffee.
