Asociacion Chajulense Val Vaq Quyol

Chajul was founded in 1990 as a First Grade Association.
Participates in Progreso Program since: 2006

It has worked with the Association reconstructing the cooperative, giving assistance in the areas of Access to Market (business trip) and Diversification (production of Cardamom, black pepper and honey).

Chajul has a population of 31,780 people. From which, 10,095 (31.8%) live in urban areas and 21 685. (68.2%) in rural areas. 29398 (92.5%) are indigenous (majority and minority Ixil Quiché) and 2382 (7.5%) are not indigenous.
