Manager's Schools in Peru
16 February 2011,
Together with Peruvian NGO Capirona, Progreso started an initiative in 2007 called the Manager's School in the Selva Central and Huallaga regions of Peru.
Within this program, management staff of coffee and cocoa producer organizations received training on different topics related to the management of a cooperative agro-business, such as international trade, strategic management, human resources and negotiations. From this first round of training, 26 students will soon receive their diplomas.
In the next phase of the program, the training course will take place in the San Ignacio and Jaen regions of Peru. It is expected that management staff of 18 coffee and cacao organizations in this region will participate and graduate by July 2011.
