COOPAC, first pre-financing in Africa

The organization COOPAC in Rwanda, has received pre-financing from Progreso Fund in order to collect the coffee from its producers and to be able to honour this year's export contracts.
COOPAC produces washed Arabica coffee, which has received twice the award for best coffee during the EAFCA. The organization has established good relationships with importers and it is one of the most consolidated Organic and Fair Trade coffee traders in Rwanda.
With this pre-finance, Progreso Fund initiates activities in Africa. Besides Rwanda, Progreso Fund is evaluating the possibilities of pre-financing organisations from Ivory Coast, Uganda and Kenya, in order to increase the number of participants this year.
