Coffee Market issues addressed at Ramacafe

Marieke Rodenhuis attended the tenth anniversary of the coffee conference Ramacafe in Nicaragua in order to get up-to-date on the latest developments and meet with different partners that the Progreso Program works with.
At Ramacafe, representatives of different organisations active in the coffee sector- ranging from producers to roasters and industry specialists- gather to share important knowledge and experiences of different aspects related to the coffee business.
A lot of attention was paid to current price developments in the coffee market as well as what these developments mean for both producers and other chain actors. Additionally, the issue of climate change and how to deal with its effects on coffee production was high on the agenda.
