Cocoa producers in Amsterdam

Last November, cocoa importers, traders and producers gathered to celebrate the 2nd Chocolate Festival in Amsterdam, ChocA is an event that is gaining importance within the cocoa sector in the Netherlands.

Progreso, in collaboration with Solidaridad, made it possible for producers from Ivory Coast and Peru to attend this event. The producers from Ivory Coast symbolically delivered the first bags of UTZ Certified cocoa during the opening ceremony.

The Peruvian cocoa sector was represented by Mr. Hiderico Bocangel, President of the APPcacao. Besides attending the opening ceremony, the producers met with importers, traders, financial institutions and cocoa processors, where they had the opportunity to experience the cocoa transformation process.
